The topic of cultural appropriation has (organically) come of many times in the six months since we started our podcast, both among ourselves and with our guests. So we decided to have a broader discussion on this topic. This week, we hosted a live panel discussion at Ludlow House featuring three amazing women—all embody both diversity and success in the business. They also offer unique perspectives on cultural appropriation in the beauty industry. Meet our panel!

Mally Roncal is the founder and creator of Mally Beauty. A pro makeup artist, she has worked with incredible artists such as Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Mary J. Blige.

Ursula Stephen is the owner of Ursula Stephen Salon in Brooklyn New York, as well as a renowned hairstylist whose client list includes Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Chanel Iman and many more.

Alicia Yoon is the founder of Peach and Lily, a Korean Beauty retail site said to have started the Korean Beauty craze in the US. The business has now grown to include distribution and two retail locations in New York and California.
